There are plenty of walks to the many peaks of the Kitzbühel Alps or leisurely strolls in the valley. A popular destination is the Schönanger Alm, the largest managed alpine pasture in the high valley and the starting point for many hikes.

In summer temperatures, surrounded by magnificent mountain panoramas, flowering alpine meadows and crystal-clear mountain streams, the connection with nature becomes tangible, almost palpable.

Regardless of whether you are a family, an adult or a pensioner, this forest & nature hiking trail offers something for everyone. The path has two different routes - a shorter one taking about 1 hour walking time, the longer one taking about 2 hours.

KUNDLER KLAMM

Hike through the natural gorge

The Kundler Klamm is one of the most beautiful natural gorges in Austria and also the shortest connection between the Wildschönau and the Tyrolean Inn Valley. The river "Wildschönauer Ache"makes its way through the gorge. 200-metre high and steep rock walls are impressive. The roaring water and the steeply towering rocks are a real nature experience!

The starting point for the hike through the Kundler Klamm is the district of Mühltal. The hike first leads past meadows and forests to the beginning of the gorge section. The gorge trail there and back is about 7 kilometres long and very suitable for young and old. The route is also easy to manage with strollers.

SCHÖNANGERALM

At the end of the valley Wildschönau.

Walkers and hikers have an ideal starting point on the Schönangeralm to explore the magnificent mountain world on easy circular walks. Mountaineers and hikers appreciate the starting point for mountain tours to the Großer Beil or the Sonnjoch. The Schönangeralm is the largest managed alpine pasture in the Wildschönau. From May to September, around 260 animals spend their summer holidays here. The milk is made into a variety of cheeses at the cheese dairy, which is open to the public.
